Mel Harms-Grossman - SunRunner Ranch
Mel Harms-Grossman of SunRunner Ranch is a trainer dedicated to helping horses and riders build calm, confident, and connected partnerships through thoughtful horsemanship. Known for working with anxious or misunderstood horses, her approach emphasizes patience, timing, fairness, and understanding the “why” behind each horse’s behavior. Clients often leave with not only a more willing horse, but also a deeper understanding of effective communication and feel.
Mel is a licensed judge with the Wisconsin Horse Council Open Show (WHC), Foundation Quarter Horse Registry (FQHR), Wisconsin 4-H, and Midwest Extreme Obstacle Association (MEOA). She also has extensive experience in equine bodywork, biomechanics, saddle fit, and rehabilitation support, working alongside veterinary and chiropractic professionals to help horses move comfortably and perform at their best.

- Show Support—Coached World Qualifiers; AQHA Ranch Riding, WDAA, & FQHR organizations, with top ten to reserve world in WDAA & FQHR events. Local club qualifiers & year end winners.
- Groundwork, Horsemanship, and Confidence-building
- Ranch Riding / Rail, Pattern, 4-H, Obstacle / Trail, Western Dressage, Ranch Reining, Gymkhana Round Pen
- Trailer-in Lessons Welcome
- Schooling Horses Available at Select Times

Equine Housing & Care

The facility offers 10×12 stalls with paddock turnout, along with quality hay and grain options to support each horse’s individual needs.
